The City of Kewanee provides excellent city services while practicing fiscal restraint. These services include professionally staffed police, fire, public works, and parks departments that provide the vital services that keep our community safe, secure, and moving forward.
As a forward thinking community, Kewanee is always focused on improving its infrastructure, enhancing the quality of life of its residents, and making the business climate in Kewanee as welcoming as possible for new and existing businesses.
In that regard, the City has developed an impressive array of incentives for businesses: TIF District financing, Enterprise Zone designation for important commercial and industrial areas, a revolving loan fund, and Foreign Trade Zone designation. The City is a strong supporter of both the Kewanee Economic Development Corporation and the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce and is an active partner in economic development efforts.
