Community Resources

A Kewanee location offers so much more than just a great place to live.

Kewanee is a community that offers a great variety of services for its businesses and residents: including comprehensive healthcare, two K-12 school districts, Black Hawk College, many nationally recognized retail stores, many independently owned retail stores, several grocery stores and dealerships, and many service-oriented businesses, giving you everything you need to function day-to-day.

As part of a regional economy, you’ll find you are in close proximity of Peoria and the Quad Cities too.

Healthcare

Since 1919, the City of Kewanee has been served by OSF St. Luke Medical Center (formerly Kewanee Hospital). A dedicated staff of nearly 300 health care professionals provides health care services to residents in a 30 mile radius.

OSF St Luke's is a 501(c) 3 charitable organization, not supported by tax dollars. The state-of-the-art facility constructed in 2008 offers the latest in advanced medical technologies including:

  • 25 private patient rooms for Medical-Surgical-Pediatrics Care, Swing Bed Services and Critical Care
  • 24-hour Physician Staffed Emergency Department
  • Inpatient/Outpatient Surgical Services
  • Rehabilitation Services
  • Homecare/Hospice Care
  • All-Digital Radiology/Diagnostic Department
  • Family Health Clinic Multi-Specialty Physician Group
  • 3-D Mammography

Specialty clinic services include anesthesiology, cardiology, family medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, radiology, and urology.
