Manage your space by proper passing

The game will be difficult to win if you don’t first learn how to control the space on the pitch and pick the wise passing lanes. Draw your opponents out to you by proper dribbling. Try Face-up dribbling (holding the L2+R2 or LT+RT) which is very effective for keeping the ball while waiting for your other players to get in place.

Then, mix up your passes. Switch between short passes and driven passes (R1/RB with Pass) and make use of the Threaded Through pass (R1 or RB with Through Ball) to allow to pass the ball more accurately through a tight row of defenders.

Learn how to Shield to protect the ball
