Incentives & Financial Assistance

Incentives & Financial Assistance

We want you to succeed...we’re here to help with your success

Kewanee is a forward thinking community that has put together an array of local economic development programs that surpass those of much larger communities. We’re serious about helping you succeed and that’s reflected in our local programs:

Financing

If you need financing for your project, KEDC may be able to help. KEDC can help facilitate financing with our strategic banking partners, through the City of Kewanee Revolving Loan Fund, the Henry County Rural Revolving Loan Fund, or through the City of Kewanee Enterprise Zone and TIF programs.

Land

KEDC owns two industrial/business parks with a total of 200 acres that are ready for development. As a result, we can actively work with you on siting your facility and getting you a very attractive land incentive package that will directly and positively impact your bottom-line. The cost of land is contingent on the number of jobs that will be located at a proposed site in either of the parks.

Both parks are in the Kewanee Enterprise Zone and TIF districts which provide for even more incentive options for your business.

  • Kentville Industrial Park

Infrastructure

The City of Kewanee may be able to provide infrastructure assistance on a project-specific basis and depending on the number of jobs associated with the proposed project.

Incentives

KEDC also serves as a local point of contact for a number of federal and state incentives, financing and training programs. We help you identify and secure federal, state and local resources to help achieve your goals and provide expert support to identify state and local economic development incentives and tax credits for which you may be eligible. We'll help you quantify the value of potential incentives, answer questions about Kewanee and/or Illinois regulations and policies and address any issues related to your project.

To improve your project’s chances of obtaining funding through one of the programs, please contact KEDC as early as possible in your project’s lifecycle.
